MMP is the rate code most associated with the Marriott Explore Rate. It is not a normal public promo code, coupon, or seasonal sale. It is a rate category connected to Marriott's associate Explore program, and it is meant for eligible personal travel rather than corporate events, group bookings, or resale.

When people say they want the Marriott employee discount, they are often talking about MMP. The rate can appear across many Marriott Bonvoy brands, but it is always subject to each hotel's inventory, blackout dates, and current rules. Seeing the code discussed online does not mean every account can book it automatically.
